- Researching, organizing, and assimilating clinical research safety, and/or medical device information to support medical safety assessments, clinical study related safety reports.
- Presenting MSS related analyses, reports, and/or assessments orally and/or in writing within the department.
- Writing medical memorandums that provide justification of MSS decisions/guidance.
- Participates on cross-functional Clinical Study teams as Medical Safety and Surveillance representative.
- Ensures the appropriate reporting of the events within business, cross-divisionally when appropriate.
- Acts as the liaison between the MSS department and all other internal departments as well as to external customers such as study sites/ study coordinators, contract research organizations, and Data Safety Monitoring Boards associated with the trial.
- Responsible for day-to-day medical device complaints medical case processing.
- Comfortable developing training materials when needed and have good presentation skills to provide training to a broad international audience.
- May write or assist in preparing, completing literature or website searches and data analysis for regulatory documentation supporting medical device.
- Other duties/projects/support as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree with related health science background.
- 1-2 years clinical and/or other related experience.
- 1-2 years clinical and/or other related experience.
- Some industry/ clinical setting experience desirable.
- Knowledge and demonstrated application of understanding of enteral tube feeding and/or experience with tube fed population in clinical setting and/or nutrition support.
- Basic understanding of domestic and global regulations, clinical research, and international guidelines related to product /medical device safety.
- Basic understanding of current clinical practices.
- Understanding of department standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Clinical knowledge to apply critical thinking and data analysis to adverse event data collection and/or medical device assessments.
- Computer proficient (Windows, Word, Excel).
- Able to present medical and scientific data orally and in writing.
- Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and with a multidisciplinary team.

Primary Functions/Goals/Objectives:
As an individual contributor, with guidance from manager/team, functions to support Medical Safety & Surveillance (MSS) by reviewing, assessing, and summarizing clinical research adverse event and/or medical device complaint information. Critically assess aggregate safety data from clinical research and medical device data and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.

The base pay for this position is
