- Life Science degree/ healthcare qualification essential.
- Preferred: Postgraduate degree in life sciences (Ph.D., MD or Pharm.D.);Therapeutic area/product educational background/experience.
- Essential: Academic/scientific communication experience in radiology either through educational background and/or job experience.
- Preferred: Previous Radiology pharmaceutical industry experience in a scientific function and/or relevant previous health care professional facing role in the United Kingdom; previous MSL experience
- Fully conversant with the requirements of the ABPI code, PMCPA guidance and guidelines on company procedures.
- Preferred demonstrable skills: Communication: scientific writing, presentation of complex data and information. Teamwork: cross-functional collaboration. Digital: familiar and comfortable with digital engagement and remote interaction.

Medical Science Liaison - Radiology
The MSL, through advanced technical competence and refined interpersonal skills, is responsible for establishing Bayer Healthcare’s reputation for scientific excellence with Thought Leaders, institutions and societies in relevant therapeutic areas. As a contact for researchers, investigators and clinicians, the MSL provides a scientific service to both external, as well as internal stakeholders. The individual can address several issues with external stakeholders such as those related to BHP products, disease state, clinical development and unsolicited off-licence product related questions from healthcare professionals.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Thought Leader interactions - international, national, regional, local
• Medical and scientific discussions, presentations, data exchange and education
• Scientific, healthcare professional engagement at international, national, regional and local meetings and congresses
• Provide and support medical information and responses to medical questions including unsolicited enquiries or comments about the unauthorised use of a medicine
• Coordination and delivery of medical and scientific educational activities
• Organize and manage key medical department deliverables i.e. national advisory boards, national KOL roundtables, national and international preceptorships and consensus meetings under the direction of medical leadership
• Internal scientific support and training
• Continuing self-education and training
• Investigator support e.g., Investigator Sponsored Studies
• Assist, if required, with joint-working projects and advance budgetary notification (ABN)
• Interactions with medical societies, patient groups, Advisory Boards and other related activities such as attendance at international/national scientific meetings
• Provide an expert resource to the field force and to the relevant Head Office/ Global colleagues
• Keep an accurate and updated record of all internal and external interactions
