      Medical Scribe

      Dr. Friedrich Boettner

      Full-Time

      Overview:

      Hospital for Special Surgery, #1 in Orthopedics for the last 13 years and is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Full time Medical Scribe for one of our physician offices. Dr. Fritz Boettner is a specialist in joint-preserving arthroscopic surgery and minimally invasive total joint replacements of the knee and hip. His practice concentrates on the nonsurgical and surgical treatment of early arthritis.

      Working under the supervision of Dr. Boettner, you will provide care to patients in the physician office setting. Your scope of duties will include assisting the physician in a Scribe capacity, entering patient information, including dictated activities into the EHR (electronic health record) or chart at the direction of a physician, and must be present with patient and physician at time of service. You will also be researching information and locating medical information for review by the provider (previous notes, reports, results, etc.)

      The scribe does not, and may not, act independently and will not be able to enter orders.

      Your ability to promote the highest standards of patient safety and respond to patients and families with consideration and compassion is critical to the mission of HSS.

      Qualifications

      • High School diploma or equivalent
      • At least one year of experience in the medical field
      • Previous experience with EPIC preferred
      • Must be able to type at least 55 wpm.
      • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
      • Customer service strengths

      USD $21.00/Hr.

      Pay Range - Maximum

      USD $23.00/Hr.
