      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen at Writtle Surgery for a part-time experienced medical secretary to join the well-established, friendly team.

      Main duties of the job

      • Provide essential secretarial duties.
      • Manage all telephone and email enquiries.
      • Manage referrals to secondary care.
      • Audio typing of GP correspondence using a digital dictation system.
      • Liaise with patients about their care and assisting GPs with negotiating care pathways.

      About us

      The Writtle Surgery is a 3 partner semi-rural dispensing practice of approximately 8,000 patients. We have 3 salaried GPs, and a fully staffed team including practice nurses, dispensers, secretaries and administrators, clinical pharmacists and receptionists.
