- 12,000 patients
- 3 GP partners, 3 salaried GP's, 2 practice nurses and 1 HCA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information in compliance with GDPR.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and correspondence.
- Previous experience using EMIS Web and audio typing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately process letters and referrals.
- Experience handling NHS and private referrals.
- Familiarity with Docman for scanning and filing patient documents.
- Experience handling patient queries in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Liaising with hospitals, consultants, and external healthcare providers.
- Dealing with urgent and routine requests efficiently.
- Understanding of NHS procedures, including referrals, medical records, and complaints.

Job summary
We are looking for a highly organised, detail oriented Medical Secretary to join our professional and friendly secretarial team.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include handling all GP and consultant correspondence, typing letters (audio-typing), processing referrals via e-RS, managing patient queries, liaising with consultants, hospitals and other healthcare providers.
Processing insurance reports, assisting with confidential patient records in compliance with GDPR and NHS standards as well as general administrative support to GP's and the wider team.
