      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and patient centered individual to join Chapel Allerton Hospital Clinical Services Unit (CSU), in the role of Medical Secretary for Dermatology.

      The position will be based within the CAH CSU scheduling team at Chapel Allerton Hospital. Applicants should have a responsible attitude, be proactive, and be able to demonstrate the ability to use their own initiative. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be required to liaise with patients, clinical and administration teams.

      The post holder will be required to work as part of a team providing and excellent service for patients on the 18 week and cancer pathways.

      Main duties of the job

      Work as part of a team to ensure that all clinical correspondence is turned around in a timely manner to allow patients to move through their pathway without any delays

      Typing to be completed timely.

      To book appointment as and when required.

      Manage waiting lists.

      Work with Consultants and their medical teams.

      Manage their workload in line with departmental requirements or as identified by the Senior Medical Secretary.

      Deal with patient enquiries.

      Play a key role in ensuring that patients move systematically through their pathways by ensuring that the next steps are in the pipeline.
