- Academic Partner Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for academic institutions, ensuring smooth communication and coordination of all trainee rotations and schedules.
- Trainee Experience Management: Oversee the onboarding, orientation, and support for students, residents, and fellows during their rotations, focusing on a structured and enriching experience.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all trainees are compliant with institutional policies, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory standards. Maintain up-to-date documentation and profiles for each trainee.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track trainee progress, address any issues that arise, and provide feedback as needed to ensure educational and institutional standards are met.
- Policy Adherence and Updates: Review and recommend updates to policies related to trainee activities, ensuring alignment with evolving educational requirements and regulatory needs.
- Event Coordination: Organize educational events, shadowing opportunities, and other experiences that enhance trainees' understanding of various clinical and administrative roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare, education, or related field, or 5 years of experience in healthcare education or administration.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a healthcare or academic administration setting, with a focus on trainee or student coordination.
- Familiarity with medical staff bylaws, regulatory requirements, and training program standards.
- Prior healthcare industry experience.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of office administration.
- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
Job Description
The Coordinator – Medical Staff Education Services will manage the educational experience for students, residents, fellows, and other trainees at our institution. In collaboration with partnering academic institutions, this role ensures a positive and compliant training environment. The Coordinator will facilitate orientation, monitor progress, and support trainees in fulfilling both their educational requirements and the standards set forth by our medical staff bylaws. This position is vital in maintaining robust educational partnerships and fostering supportive training experience for future healthcare providers. This position will also play an integral role in the planning, development, and implementation of education and training programs for healthcare professionals. This position will also perform quality monitoring and/or reporting for any department within Medical Affairs Administration as appointed by the director. This position will also ensure all paperwork is complete and in compliance with all regulating bodies such as Centers for Medicare Services (CMS) and Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Other duties may deem necessary that may not be mentioned, and it will also be this position’s responsibility to ensure said duties are facilitated in a timely fashion at the request of the department director.
