      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Staffing Manager to join the Surgery Department at King's College Hospital on a fixed term/Secondment basis. We are looking for a resilient, enthusiastic, motivated and proactively driven individual to fulfil this key position within the Care Group.

      The post holder is responsible for providing a reliable and efficient medical staffing service to all doctors and consultants across the Care Group, as well as providing an excellent administrative service to the operational and medical teams . Acting as the first point of contact for any medical staffing enquiries, the post holder will have the responsibility for the provision of a safely staffed medical team in conjunction with the Clinical Leads.

      Main duties of the job

      The post will entail creating and maintaining medical rotas, sourcing locum medical staff to within budgetary limits, organising honorary and observer contracts, managing medical recruitment campaigns, processing medical leave and sickness records for the medical staff, organisation of regular junior doctor rotations and inductions in conjunction with the Clinical Leads and a variety of other tasks required to provide the Care Group with an efficient medical staffing service.

The post holder will take a lead role in the delivery of the medical staffing coordination function working closely with operational managers as well as Clinical Leads and Clinical Directors.

      • Some understanding of employment practices
      • Experience in the acute sector
