- ASCP or AMT {or equivalent) as a Medical Technologist.
- 3-4 years of experience strongly preferred.
- Elisa and Immunology experience is a plus.

PAY: $37+/hr depending on experience

STD/LTD/ADD Insurance (short-term disability, long-term disability and accidental death and dismemberment insurance)GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Perform medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases in the areas of hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology and urinalysis. Monitor the laboratory quality control data. Assume responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager when absence.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Director.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requ i res full range of body motion and frequent standing and walking short distances. Requires good eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity in both hands. Requires vision that is correctable to 20/20 with normal color perception. Requires the ability to hear alarms, instrument/analyzer audible alerts and telephone communications. Requires the ability to effectively communicate both orally and written. Requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, pathogenic bacteria and toxic substances, i.e. acids & bases.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list is not inclusive)
1. Perform technical laboratory functions1 including quality controls, in chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology and urinalysis.
2. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and unscheduled instrument maintenance in all areas of the laboratory.
3. Accurately interpret and report laboratory results or values.
4. Perform Lab Manager duties & responsibilities as assigned.
5.Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety and infection control.
6. Other Duties as Assigned : The assignment of duties to employees is not limited to the content of this job description. Other tasks and assignments may be related to the work usually assigned to the employee, but in some circumstances may be completely unrelated.

EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science(BS) degree in Medical Technology or related field.
