Job summary
We currently have a wonderful opportunity to join our Central Support Team as a part time Medical Typist .
Your new role requires very solid keyboard skills preferably with a qualification of audio typing or copy typing or demonstrable experience typing high volumes of notes or documents.
If you are enthusiastic, you have good IT and communication skills and enjoy working in a team then we would like to hear from you. In return we can offer you a supportive, fast moving and varied job, in an often-busy environment.
Working hours are offered within the core service window of 07.00 to 17.00. Exact working hours and flexibility within this window can be discussed at interview and actual working hours will be agreed prior to commencement of employment.
Main duties of the job
In your role you will transcribe digital dictation to create clinical outcome letters and other general clinical correspondence as required and need an understanding of medical terminology is desirable and advantageous although not essential as training will be provided together with training on the Digital Dictation system.
Your audio typing skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are essential.
In our Team you will be trained to type clinical dictation in a variety of specialities, developing a wealth of knowledge including medical terminology, you may also apply to take part in a comprehensive training module that includes industry recognised training alongside an internal mentor programme.
