Responsibilities:
- Work on claims that have been submitted to Medicare, ensuring adherence to Medicare's rules and regulations
- Review and address claims that have been put on hold, identifying and resolving issues causing delays
- Handle denials and determine if Medicare denied the claim correctly, taking appropriate follow-up actions
- Provide additional information to Medicare as needed for claim processing or appeals
- Manage all correspondence through mail and email, and process necessary refunds
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Typing speed of at least 40 wpm
- Ability to handle high volumes of work while meeting deadlines
- Experience in a monitored call environment with performance metrics is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
