What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Partner with Healthcare Advocates and providers to improve documentation and coding accuracy
- Utilize analytics to identify providers for Medicare Risk Adjustment training
- Facilitate audits of medical charts to ensure appropriate documentation and coding
- Educate providers on quality and CMS-HCC Risk Adjustment payment methodologies
- Provide customized documentation improvement education and training to clinical staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification and/or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in physician billing and/or coding
- Experience in CMS-HCC Risk Adjustment
- Proven ability to maintain relationships with healthcare providers and systems
- Proficient in common office software, coding software, and EMR systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPC-I and/or CPMA certifications from AAPC
- 4+ years of experience in clinic, hospital, or managed care settings
- Leadership experience in a physician practice
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven relationship-building skills with clinical and non-clinical personnel
