What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate authorization of patient prescription refill requests and medication prior authorizations
- Conduct benefits investigations on prior authorization requests using patients’ pharmacy benefits
- Gather clinical and supporting documentation for submission to third-party payers
- Communicate effectively with team members, providers, nursing staff, pharmacies, and software vendors to resolve claims issues
- Assist patients with manufacturer-based patient assistance programs and liaise between patients, providers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician, medical assistant, claims representative in a managed care role, or in a coding role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Licensed/Certified in field of experience (CPhT, CMA, etc.)

- 2 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician, medical assistant, claims representative in a managed care role, or in a coding role
