Meditech Clinical Application Analyst Job Description
Minimum Required Workplace Experience: At least 7-10 years relevant MEDITECH support work experience working in either hospital clinical departments (i.e. Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Nursing) superuser/training and/or administrative departments (i.e. Information Technology, Application Support) with significant exposure to and knowledge of clinical and IT operating policies and procedures.
Minimum Required Equipment and Skills Training: The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years of proven and progressive MEDITECH workflow mapping, build, support and implementation experience.
Demonstrates proficiency in supporting clinical and technical applications.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with vendors, users and/or hospital employees.
Provides Level 2 and 3 support for day-to-day production issues, maintaining documentation in the appropriate tracking systems while adhering to prescribed escalation & change control procedures.
Regularly rounds with end users to ensure expected procedures and functionality match actual.
Provides support for applications and coordinates with the appropriate teams.
Provide on-going end user clinical system education and support of existing workflows, along with all upgrades, new releases, and enhancements.
Communicate to all clinical end users and leadership regarding new workflows, downtimes, change requests, repetitive errors or discomfort with application performance.
Establish and maintain Knowledge Base articles (i.e. Solutions) for the team regarding workflows in the clinical applications.
Evaluates IT application updates and revisions and participates in testing.
Provides documentation and delivery of training on assigned applications
Completes assigned tasks as per defined project scope, timelines, and budgets for implementations.
Participates in coordinating the transition from implementation to production and application support.
Uses software vendor tracking systems to report and monitor resolution of software irregularities and customer programming requests.
Uses internal issue tracking system to monitor and document resolution of system user issues, questions and requests.
Responsible for routine communication to customers and project team members on issues, tasks, software enhancements/fixes.
Develops training/troubleshooting material for level 1 support and knowledge transfer.
Conducts core group/super user/end user training classes and/or presentations for assigned modules/applications as required.

Provides leadership and support to super-user groups.
Provides constructive coaching feedback to peers and mentors junior members of team.
Coordinates planning for installations of maintenance releases/patches/uplifts and software updates with technical and engineering teams.
Ensures new installations will integrate with the current application and data technical environment.About the company
