- Coaching and mentoring a team of planners and providing guidance on specific meetings and events
- Regularly reaching out to internal customers to gain feedback on our services and determine future needs
- Continually working with external suppliers to ensure they are meeting our needs and providing best value
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful planning and execution of events
- Executing and delivering on multiple high-profile meetings/events when necessary
- Maintaining a visible role within the Firm and to outside parties, including suppliers and other planners
- Maintaining contacts and network opportunities within the event planning profession
- Assisting Senior Manager to drive departmental goals, cost-saving targets, and support firm strategy
- Overseeing the processing of event contracts and related forms for MES planners
- Assigning meetings/events to planners and managing the overall workload
- Tabulating and consolidating reports for Senior Manager and finance leadership
- E xternal business experience, with demonstrated skills in meeting management
- End to end event management experience
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Previous experience in managing/coaching a team
- Demonstrable strong supplier management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- A community college diploma, or bachelor's degree, in marketing or business
- A Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation would be an asset
- Proficiency in Cvent an asset
- Experience working with senior leadership and C-suite

Meeting Event Services, a group within Procurement, is seeking a Meeting and Event Manager to lead the national event team. The Manager will coach and support a team of planners, oversee the day-to-day operations of the group, and interact with cross functional teams within the firm to promote our services and ensure we are meeting the requirements and needs of each group. The manager will have a strong focus on supporting process improvement, cost savings and overall delivery of value to our internal customers. This role will be integral in planning high-profile meetings, C-suite and large events and providing support to the team during peak seasons. The position reports to the Director, Meeting Event Services and will regularly interact with other PwC stakeholders that could include leadership, partners, staff, and suppliers.
The manager role will best suit an individual who is: professional in approach, high-energy, quality focused and enjoys the role of being a coach/mentor to others. The individual must be flexible to meet competing demands and possess outstanding communication skills which will enable them to maintain a sense of composure during emotionally charged situations, and to ensure deliverables.Meaningful work you’ll be part of
