- Manage and oversee client services in compliance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Recruit, supervise and train staff, supporting their performance and development and managing discipline.
- Provide direct support services to clients using person-centered approaches and strategies that support adult clients with mental health needs in their homes and community.
- Through team collaboration, develop and monitor service plans.
- Document, monitor and report clients’ progress on goals.
- Manage and oversee client budgets.
- Continuously apply ethical principles and best practices.
- Advocate for the rights of people with disabilities and establish opportunities that promote safe, respected, and valued membership in the community.
- Educate the community about Candeo’s mission and services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in human services, Rehabilitation, Education, Business, Psychology, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and/or mental health disabilities
- Minimum of one year of successful supervisory experience
- Evidence of ethical practices and sound professional judgement
- Willingness and ability to travel within service counties
- Valid Class C Iowa Driver’s License
- Proof of current automobile insurance
- Reliable personal vehicle meeting Iowa DOT and Candeo safety standards
- Highly effective written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly effective interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must pass comprehensive background checks (criminal, motor vehicle, child/dependent adult abuse, sex offender registry)
- Experience implementing client-focused planning and support approaches
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Conflict prevention and resolution skills
- Cultural competency
