- A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology
- A valid State of Michigan LARA administered mental health professional license in the following areas:
- Licensed Master's Level Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Experience implementing research-based strategies to address the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students
- Experience providing direct therapy/counseling services to elementary aged students
