ResponsibilitiesMayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. It is our goal to provide compassionate care to those individuals living with mental illness so they can live their life to the fullest. We believe life with mental health disorder can be managed in a way that allows a person to thrive. When life's challenges seem to big to handle alone, Mayhill Hospital is here to help.
Position Summary
The Mental health Techinician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from young adult (17) through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. Mental Health Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferred; Certified Nursing Assistant required.
Experience: One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR certification, and CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Must pass ACE Test with a C or higher. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
