      What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

      • Masters Degree in a mental health field

      • Will Consider:
        • Enrollment in a practicum course at an accredited Masters Degree program in a mental health field (time limited) or
        • Awaiting BBS registration number (time limited)
      • MHSII - One (1) year of experience in a mental health field; experience should be with children or adolescents in residential or outpatient settings preferred.
      • MHSIII - Two (2) years of experience in a mental health field; experience should be with children or adolescents in residential or outpatient settings preferred.
      • MHSII - BBS Associate (AMFT, ASW, APCC) registration, or as listed above enrollment in a practicum course and in an accredited master’s degree program in a mental health field, or awaiting BBS registration number.
      • MHSIII - LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW license in California
      • Valid California Driver's License.

      NOTE: This position requires driving from home to home, working with clients in the community, and possibly transporting clients in personal vehicles.

      How you will make a difference (job overview):

      This position has primary responsibility for providing mental health services and case management services to children or adolescents and their families referred to Community Services. Services may include engagement, assessment, evaluation, individual/family/group therapy, and case management. The position acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical and support staff. In addition, the position documents and bills for mental health and case management services and completes outcomes information.

      Division/Program Overview:

      • The program sees adults (18+) and older adults.
      • It is a FULLY community-based program - all services happen at a person's home or community.
      • The clients have complex needs - medication, housing, vocational, independent living and mental health.
      • The intensity for services for each client is about 10 hours per month and once we are fully up and running, we'll have a census of about 50 adults.
      • We are preparing to also start an Adult Outpatient Program which this position would oversee as well. Eventually, this position will have all our Adult programs, including IHOT.

      In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 71,163.76 - 106,745.64. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
