The Mental Performance Coach, Summer 2024 will be responsible for increasing individual performance and educate athletes through mental conditioning.

Summer Hiring Timeline:

• October 2023: Applications open!
• January – April 2024: Application review and interviews. Offers made on a rolling basis.
• May – July 2024: Start

Position Responsibilities

• Ability to connect with and inspire athletes from a variety of ages and levels
• Conduct mental conditioning sessions in group and 1:1 settings on topics from the field of Sport Psychology (i.e. confidence, energy management, motivation, etc.)
• Teach vision training classes
• Work alongside other IMG APD divisions: Physical Conditioning, Vision Training, Nutrition, and Leadership
• Conduct video-analysis for athletes
• Educate coaches on a variety of mental conditioning topics
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Pursuing or completed Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology or a related field
• Strong work ethic and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
• The ability to connect well with the younger athlete and be credible across IMG Academy’s 8 sports
• Experience in mental conditioning and/or coaching
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced organization

Preferred Skills

• Playing, coaching or managing experience
• Certified Consultant – AASP accreditation (or in progress)
• Bilingual

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
• Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
