      REPORTS TO: Team Coordinator

      QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma; college degree preferred. Access to a personal computer and reliable internet

      DUTIES:

      Mentors are assigned up to 10 students (Mentees).

      1. Individually map courses for students with estimated time for completion. Communicate with teachers when course map is revisd.
      2. Makes face to face or other two-way contacts with Students weekly. Documents all contacts and all contact attempts in Infinite Campus.
      3. Makes monthly Parent contacts for each student on their caseload. Documents all contacts and all contact attempts in Infinite Campus.
      4. Reports any issues to the Team Coordinator.
      5. Home visits as needed.
      6. Graduation - Mentor should set target graduation date with student. Mentor should discuss the Coastal Plains courses and timeline for completion. Mentor should review the Grad Plan with the student. Notes of meetings should be documented.

      7. College Planning - Mentor should be familiar with Dual Enrollment (DE) AND Option B and make sure the student gets information if needed.
      8. Referrals - Mentor will make a referral to a counselor, a social worker, or a site director if a concern arises that warrants help with a student's personal situation or academics. When in doubt, consult with the TEAM coordinator.

      9. Completes monthy employment survey for Govenance Board reporting.
