- Req#: 462030
- Construction: Lead the MEP coordination process, manage the MEP trades in the field, manage and resolve change orders for the MEP trades, and problem resolution.
- Bidding: Assist in compiling and analyzing MEP subcontractor bids for price and scope. Review documents for scope and errors.
- Understands common mechanical and electrical systems in commercial buildings, and has significant experience managing these trades on large projects.
- Is skilled at diagnosing field issues and working with subcontractors and project teams to resolve.
- Can work productively with the design team and subcontractors in a complex preconstruction and coordination efforts.
- Has strong interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry for a general contractor, MEP subcontractor, or design firm.
- Experience on large (> $50 million) commercial construction projects.
- Significant experience in both field operations of mechanical or electrical construction.
- A 4-year technical degree desired, but not required.
General Description
W.E. O’Neil is looking for an MEP Project Manager to work on large commercial projects (> $50 million). The position will support multiple project teams including MEP coordination, technical support, troubleshooting, change order review, and commissioning. The position will also provide selective support to the Estimating and Preconstruction Group. The position reports to a Vice President of Operations.
