      At a glance

      We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Merchandising Operations team aim for at least 2-3 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role is based at Bracknell.

      The salary range for the role is £36,400 - £62,200

      Contract - Temporary until end of June 2024

      An element of weekend working may be required

      About the role

      As a Merchandising Forecasting Analyst you will be focused on creating demand forecasts at item-location level. These demand forecasts are the foundation for all end to end supply chain planning, stock ordering and replenishment activity, and are critical in ensuring the successful delivery of the Operational and Trading plans. Forecasting activity is strongly linked to customer strategy, customer planning, and trade planning, and directly feeds into the ordering & planning activity in Merchandising.

      Some of your key responsibilities include:

      • To own a group of products within one of our Category groups and be accountable to ensure the future demand forecasts are an accurate representation of future customer demand.

      • Analysing complex data sets using data mining tools to predict outcomes by finding anomalies, patterns and correlations within large data sets.

      • Taking decisive action in response to changes in trading conditions, using data, judgement and knowledge of the category, to optimise outcomes.

      • Create forecasting models and optimise demand forecasts for events, both national and local (e.g. Christmas and Wimbledon).

      Essential skills you'll need

      • You will have proven experience in using data for analysis and decision making

      • A strong communicator and influencer with experience of managing relationships with suppliers, customers or stakeholders

      • An understanding of Retail, FMCG categories & end to end stock flow
