      Job Overview:

      The Merchant Operations Analyst supports the merchant organization through the troubleshooting of systems. The Analyst primary responsibility is to provide systems support for the Merchant Teams and also serves as liaison between Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s Inc. The individual must be able to understand the business and systems needs at a detailed level and recommend, evaluate and implement technology/business solutions as required. The position entails a great deal of business/system process analysis, project management, excel use and troubleshooting.

      Essential Functions:

      • Effectively analyze / troubleshoot issues and summarize complex findings in a clear and concise manner
      • Implement business initiatives by analyzing business impact, feasibility, system constraints and business rules
      • Pull data from various sources to develop reports and dashboards
      • Assist in all phases of discovery work and systems rollouts including User Acceptance Testing
      • Identify trends and opportunities to streamline processes and create workflow efficiencies
      • Collaborate with teams to support and execute Macy Systems and Technology and Brand Strategy initiatives
      • Manage assigned merchant systems, functions, and databases and Uphold data integrity

      Qualifications and Competencies:

      We encourage candidates with either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply

      • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
      • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs

      Physical Requirements:

      • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
      • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
      • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
