      Job Description:

      The Merchant Portfolio Officer (MPO) is responsible for

      • Strategic client management, retention, renewals and rebids
      • Deepening existing merchant relationships for driving client satisfaction and revenue expansion (through cross sales).
      • Identifying and advising Merchant Services clients on program/platform optimization
      • Help clients manage their total cost of payment acceptance.
      • Potential escalation point for clients in their assigned portfolio and identifying the appropriate route of resolution

      Required Skills:

      • Consultative Merchant Services Portfolio Management or Sales experience
      • Core Acquiring (Credit/Debit) industry experience
      • 5+ years of merchant portfolio management experience
      • Contract negotiation experience
      • Coordination and delivery of proposals either via a written procurement response and/or verbal presentation
      • Considerable knowledge of POS (integrated/standalone) payment interfaces
      • Ample analytical and organizational skills

      Desired Skills:

      • Ability to cultivate and strengthen client relationships with senior business executives and IT staff members
      • Understanding of payment applications, merchant services industry applications, accounting systems, competition/competitive landscape in the payments industry, enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), data security (PCI), file formatting and data transmissions
      • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision toward the achievement of personal and team goals.
      • Demonstrated effective communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills.

      Pay and benefits information

      Pay range

      $90,700.00 - $111,100.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

      Discretionary incentive eligible

      This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
