- Program CNC mills using MasterCam software
- Operate CNC mills, manual lathes, and manual mills
- Cut brass stock using a chop saw
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Grind tools to create simple milling tools
- Follow general safety protocols and proper use of machine shop equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Basic proficiency in using shop precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in tasks
- Excellent verbal communication skills within a team environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Solid understanding of basic mathematics
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Patience and focus when performing intricate work
- Certification in machining or related field
- Prior experience in machine operation
- Basic CNC programming skills

The Metal Mold Engineering team designs and produces precision plastic injection molds for production using CAD/CAM software, CNC mills, and manual tools, while also maintaining molds and supporting other departments across the company.
The position of Metal Mold Engineering Machinist Apprentice is responsible for basic programming and operating a CNC Mill under the leadership of the Metal Mold Engineering Manager.
