      Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Observe and implement lean manufacturing methods in all job assignments
      • Maintain spindle turning at maximum at all times
      • Ensure parts and tools are loaded correctly and that quality is consistently maintained throughout the assignment
      • Change and adjust cutters under supervision as instructed
      • Learn and adhere to University Swaging policies and procedures, particularly BQMS standards directly related to work center
      • Grease up and tear down of a swager when needed
      • Advanced body swaging
      • Basic inserts and dual path assembly while supervised
      • MO abbreviation understanding
      • All swaging abbreviations and locations
      • Perform other duties as assigned

      Required Skills/Experience:

      • High School Diploma or equivalent
      • 2 months to 1 year of experience
      • Knowledge of general metal forming processes using a wide variety of machine tools
      • Know how to maintain a clean and orderly work area
      • Blueprint reading and basic math skills
      • MO abbreviation understanding
      • All swaging abbreviations and locations
      • Good manual dexterity
      • Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions
      • Good attendance, good attitude, and ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
      • Good attention to detail
      • Willingness to learn and, as required, help and/or train others
