      Req#: 24524

      PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Perform analysis on returned products in a timely manner, documenting analysis work and preparing technical reports
      • Develop and improve hardfacing on tools used in various applications
      • Perform lab testing and design qualification test programs/documentation of new materials and processes
      • Provide technical support to a broad range of people including internal engineering, manufacturing, and field operations, as well as customers and suppliers.
      • Assist in the metallurgical evaluation of heat treat processes, coatings, and weldments for production and R&D purposes
      • Disposition material on non-conformance issues.
      • Prepare and maintain global raw material and special process specifications
      • Audit and evaluate third party suppliers that offer raw materials and coating/welding services
      • Assist design engineers with selection of materials/ coatings for performance in various drilling environments

      EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, or other relevant science related field
      • Working knowledge of metallurgical testing equipment used for destructive testing and material evaluation
      • 3-10 years of experience

      TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
      • Ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing.
      • Working knowledge of applicable industry standards such as API, ASTM, NACE & ISO specifications
