Job Description
- Req#: 48664
- Meter work associated with self-contained metering,
- Install, remove and cut tamper-proof rings/locks, including service-related work
- Turn on/off/install/exchange meters and accessory equipment
- Investigate stopped/low use meters
- Wire complex meter sockets (shop work).
- Perform loop checks.
- Program electronic meters as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Cut and Clear activity during emergency assignment.
- Perform all duties of MSR classification.
- Capable of learning fundamental electricity and meter wiring.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- The physical ability to walk long distances and climb stairs without undue fatigue.
- Suitable personality and appearance for customer contact is necessary.
- Retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License which does not restrict driving as to type of transmission or hours of operation.
- Ability to safely operate Company vehicles, tools and equipment as required.
- Successful applicant must have passed the Field Assessment test or equivalent.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and work extended hours as needed.
Salary $32.63 an hour
