This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

- Guide and lead team Members using SWA talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage Employees

- Invest in Leadership and self-growth through participating in continuous learning and development
- Responsible for managing the full Post-Ops Analytics process to deliver feedback/development sessions to stakeholders across the Network Operations Control
- Establish the setup of information flows, processes and data structures to support the undertaken analysis and to support the analysts
- Manage the collection of relevant data (quantitative and qualitative) and develop various cross-cuts and analytics to highlight the impact of day-of decisions made
- Work collaboratively with adjacent Network Operations Control groups to extract decision making rationale and relevant nuances in data collected
- Identify and communicate the key root cause(s) of the IROPS situation and associated operational challenges
- Align analyses outcomes with adjacent groups and gather their inputs and feedback
- Support in feedback delivery sessions and discussions and support wider groups with requests and follow-ups
- Work alongside the Director/Sr. Manager of Analytics to ensure Post-Ops Analytics Team is properly resourced, staffed, and organized, in addition to aligning on network priorities throughout the Post-Ops process
- Identify opportunities to improve IROPS response based on data identified – working alongside broader Post-Ops analytics team to develop tactical next steps
- Manage the documentation of analysis and outcomes in an accessible repository
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
- Knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques that arrive at fact based decision making
- Skilled in visualizing data to drive insights using tools such as think-cell, MS Excel, Tableau, etc.
- Skilled in team building and consensus-building
- Skilled in working with predictive or prescriptive algorithms, formulas, or models
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a high regard for confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to think like an owner
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of responsibility and provide direction in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
- Ability to self-start and work autonomously, with limited and disparate information
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees up to and including executive levels (written, oral, interpersonal)
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and Excel
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and lead through influence

- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
- Airline operations/disruption management analytics
- Airline operations and operational data sets, tools and systems

- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be able to work extended hours based on operational needs
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrated experience leading multiple Teams or functions through subordinate Leaders
Advanced level Business Acumen in functional area with understanding of broad business impacts
Expansive and far-reaching knowledge in:
Airline Leadership and 121 carrier under the Code of Federal Regulations
Aviation operations, processes, and procedures
Project management
FAA Airmen Certificate
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

The NOC is our world-class operations center that functions as the Heart of major operational decisions and coordination, and it houses strategic Leaders and Cohearts from all operational groups within Southwest. Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $130,750/year to $145,300.00 /year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
