      We are currently seeking a Manager - Nonfiction & Alternative Programming in our Original Programming team reporting to the VP - Nonfiction & Alternative Programming based in our Santa Monica, California office.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Oversee current series - watching cuts and providing several rounds of notes to get episodes prepared to go on the air.
      • Manage the development slate - work with producers on shows that are in active development. This means reviewing written decks and presentation tapes to get them prepared for greenlight consideration.
      • Taking pitches - attending 10-15 meetings per week with producers on potential shows across all our platforms.
      • Collaborate with departments across AMC - this includes but isn't limited to legal, digital, promotional, and marketing to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding each project.
      • Internal research - from reading magazines and newspapers to scouring the internet for new untapped stories that we could development into an original show.
      • Competitive tracking - keeping grids up to date to make sure everyone is aware of what types of shows other networks are making in our space.
      • Foster relationships - meeting managers, agents, and producers to stay in good standing and develop working relationships.


      QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

      • Bachelor's degree
      • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
      • Must be detail oriented with strong time management skills who can work independently.
      • Must be able to shift priorities at a moment's notice and manage numerous projects at a time.
      • Position requires exceptional organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
      • Strong interpersonal communication skills
      • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint or equivalent

      The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
