Job Description

- Provides leadership, advice on monthly reliability reports and consult on a variety of reliability metrics for annual goals including new metrics.
- Provides leadership, advice, and recommendations on a variety of individual outages and system metrics reporting for external stakeholders, existing/new customers, and State and Federal Commissions.
- Provides leadership, advice, and recommendations on system operational data, provides direction on areas of improvement to sustain the best reliability.
- Provides leadership, advice and recommendations on accurate reporting and investigating outage trends for system improvements and reporting.
- Provides leadership, advice, and recommendations for short- and long-range plans as required to maintain/improve the reliability and integrity of the electrical distributions system.
- Provides leadership, advice, and recommendations for communicating with customers/stakeholders with reliability projects and/or unfavorable reliability trends in conjunction with internal departments.
- Provides leadership, advice and recommendations for strategic distribution reliability programs based on long term outage data and budgets.
- Provides leadership, advice, and recommendations to the distribution system for ease of operational flexibility and restoration.
- Provides leadership, advice and recommendations for reliability programs which address new company visions, strategic objectives, and core values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
Proactively provides strategic regulatory guidance and direction for the electrical distribution system. Develops and maintains knowledge of key industry-wide compliance risks in the areas of Reliability Standards. Provides direction and oversight of system reliability improvements from maintenance to capital activities. Discuss with customers electrical power outages and how CPS Energy is improving the system for better performance.

Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas.Experience in the electric utility industry with knowledge in resource distribution planning.Valid Class C Texas Driver’s LicenseKnowledge of Reliable Operation of the Bulk Electric System in ERCOT and other NERC regions.Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail & scheduling.Must have favorable driving record.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university.Required Certifications
Working Environment
