      This is a full-time summer internship opportunity for an individual who is currently enrolled in a MHA or MBA program. The intern will support our Neurosurgery Department at the Ambulatory Care Center in Downtown Richmond.

      Virginia Commonwealth University Health System is seeking to inspire students to learn more about careers at VCUHS to achieve their full potential personally and professionally during their school year.

      Under direct department supervision, a Student Worker will assist with various assigned duties/projects to include clerical and administrative assignments (filing, data entry, processing of work orders, analyzing data, scanning, etc.), special projects, or other job related duties as assigned.

      Experience PREFERRED:
      Demonstrated experience working in a healthcare environment and commitment to excellence

      Education/training REQUIRED:
      Enrolled in High School, or currently enrolled in an accredited college program (includes Master’s program)
      Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented
      Welcome everyone and address any inquiries
      Joyfully complete assigned duties.
      Demonstrate courteous communication skills both orally and in writing
      Conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards
      Ability to utilize email programs such as Microsoft Outlook
      Experience using Excel or MS Word

      The VCU Dept. of Neurosurgery is looking for a Master's Student Intern to aid ongoing special projects in the areas of finance, clinical operations, marketing and strategy.
