- Minimum 3 years high school coaching experience preferred
- Soccer experience at the collegiate level preferred

- Dynamic communicator and motivator of student-athletes
- Develop and maintains a positive educational environment as the leader of the team.
- Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions, to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
- Be present and active during any activity involving boys soccer athletes.
- Coordinate the development, promotion, and retention for the Boys Soccer Program
- Develop and organize a regular practice schedule and practice plan along with other coaches to provide both individual and team development along with consistent implementation of expectations.
- Assist student-athletes with college recruitment. Actively support student athlete post-secondary goals.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, governing organizations (TSSAA), opponents, officials, staff, parents, and students.
- Incorporate best practices into a growth-oriented teaching/coaching style
- Perform duties assigned to all coaches by administrators
- Must develop and manage a team budget strictly according to bookkeeping procedures.
- Work with the administration to achieve district goals described within the Maryville City Schools Strategic Plan document
