Position: MICROFOCUS QC/ALM ADMIN

Location: Cincinnati OH (remote till the current situation is better due to COVID)

Duration: Full-Time

Job Description :

"MICROFOCUS QC/ALM ADMIN POSITION

Senior level Microfocus “Quality Centre” / “Application Lifecycle Management” Administrator (Microfocus QC/ALM) with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microfocus QC/ALM Implementation, Administration and Upgrade.

Administrative tasks for Application Maintenance:

• Microfocus QC/ALM Installation, Upgrade and Environment design

• Migration of projects to latest version of the application

• New Patch implementation

• Validation and verification of the upgraded environment and projects.

• Tool configuration and administration (SSL, LDAP, Mail server etc.)

• Microfocus QC/ALM Project creation and maintenance

• Monitoring and proactive management of centralised shared tool services such as licence servers, databases, application services and the infrastructure that underpins these

• Integration with other Microfocus and 3rd Party tools with QC/ALM

Administrative tasks for implementing Microfocus QC/ALM Functionality

• Experience implementing new functionality

• Customization and configuration of the project as per project requirement (User roles, Project entities, Alerts, Workflows etc)

• Designing and developing workflows and configurations

• Development of template projects and cross project customization

• Customizing within the dashboard/reporting module

• Identify, analyse, and mitigate project and operational risks

• Ability to coordinate activities with various technical teams (network, database, and architecture) to structure solutions

• Development and communication of tool usage best practise

• Understanding and developing of SQL Queries

• Experienced in VB scripting and Microfocus QC/ALM OTA API.

• Knowledge in excel macro creation.

General Requirements

• Ability to handle multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to think of new solutions and be proactive to go with a Can-do attitude.

• General knowledge of SDLC

• Proven verbal and written skills to communicate /report to both technical and non-technical audiences"
