- Bachelor's degree in English or a similar field; MA preferred.
- Experience in teaching middle or high school English, a literature-based writing course with an emphasis on analytical writing.

We’re looking for an exceptional and highly qualified educator for a Middle School English teaching position. The position will begin in August for the 2024-25 school year.
Our middle school consists of 7th, 8th, and 9th grades; interested candidates should have the ability and interest to work with all three grade levels. We’re looking for someone with a demonstrated knowledge of and passion for English and World Literature and creative writing, as well as experience working with students to develop their writing skills. The English department values team planning, collaborative exchange of ideas, and collegiality. While primarily an English teaching position, the full teaching load may include a course outside of the English Department, such as journalism, public speaking, debate, human development, or ethics. Candidates should be willing to be a presence in the broader life of the school in areas such as admissions, student clubs, affinity groups, outdoor retreats, etc.

Compensation:
Anticipated base compensation is $80,000-$100,000 depending on experience. The position will begin in August 2024.
