Holy Rosary School in Edmonds prepares children to be living disciples of Jesus Christ. We educate the whole child; academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. We are actively seeking an energetic, dynamic and experienced middle school teacher to join our team and serve our Catholic community.
Position to begin: August, 2024
Job Description: This is a 1.0 FTE position reporting to the principal to work as the 6th grade homeroom teacher. The teacher would be responsible for teaching middle school courses to 5th-8th grade students.The ideal candidate has experience teaching middle school and is organized, engaging and aware of how to support diverse learners in a classroom setting.
Qualifications:
-Experience with middle school students (preferred)
-Catholic (preferred)
-MA or equivalent (preferred)
-Demonstrates a solid understanding of Common Core Standards
-Ability to communicate with students, parents and the school community
-Desire to be part of the middle school team
Job Responsibilities:
-Oversee teaching responsibilities for 6th grade and other middle school classes to be determined and assigned by the principal
-Synthesize data to support academic growth
-Effectively communicate academic growth and progress with parents and administrators
-Scaffold learning to support students to reach grade level benchmarks, Common Core Standards and Archdiocesan religion standards
-Work within a Professional Learning Community to support school and student growth
-Oversee the 6th grade homeroom including social emotional learning growth and support
-Participate in school and Archdiocesan professional development as determined by the principal and vice principal
-Adhere to all school and Archdiocesan policies

Compensation: Salary of $61,342-$100,991. Any offered salary is determined based on a predetermined salary schedule, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees and certification. A comprehensive benefits package will be offered including two medical plan options, dental, vision, life, accidental death and disability, pension 403 (b), HSA, FSA, sick leave, vacation, holidays and tuition discounts for dependents attending Holy Rosary School.
