What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement comprehensive API governance standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency, security, and scalability across the organization’s API ecosystem
- Oversee compliance with regulatory and security requirements related to middleware components
- Evaluate and integrate innovative middleware technologies to enhance existing infrastructure, aligning with business goals, and optimizing API performance
- Collaborate with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure API middleware solutions meet business requirements and adhere to governance standards
- Conduct regular assessments of existing API middleware platforms to identify areas for improvement, potential security vulnerabilities, and opportunities for optimization

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operational Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operational Support
- Strong knowledge of middleware technologies such as Messaging & Event Streaming (Kafka, IBM MQ) and API Gateways (Apigee, AWS)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact with IT teams, auditors, and business stakeholders
- Certifications in IT Governance (e.g., ITIL, COBIT), Middleware Technologies, or Cloud Platforms
