      Job Title: Welder

      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Welder who will be primarily responsible for welding on stainless steel. This role involves performing fabrication tasks using various tools such as drill press, saws, shears, and grinders. You will be expected to utilize blueprints for welding and use measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers. The majority of the work involves custom job shop projects, requiring precision and attention to detail.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform welding on steel components.
      • Fabricate materials using tools such as drill press, saws, shears, and grinders.
      • Interpret and utilize blueprints for welding tasks.
      • Utilize measuring devices including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
      • Conduct light assembly tasks as needed.
      • Engage in data entry tasks using a computer.

      Essential Skills

      • 3+ years of experience as a Welder.
      • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
      • Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
      • Experience with fabrication processes.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience working in a similar environment is advantageous.

      Work Environment

      The work environment is generally clean and consists of a shop with 20-25 employees including machinists, welders, fabricators, and mechanics. The position requires wearing work pants or jeans and steel toe boots. The shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional Saturday shifts.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
