- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

- Designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.

This National Guard position is for a MILITARY & FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5701400 and is part of the NC G1, National Guard (JFHQNC-G1 Family Readiness/ Manning Doc 132F-07).Duties
As a MILITARY and FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST, GS-0301-09, you will serve as fully independent advisor within geographical area of responsibility in accomplishing all objectives of the Soldier & Family Readiness Program (SFRP) for the Army National Guard to maximize retention and readiness; manage and operate family assistance center and provide assistance to commands within geographical area of responsibility in support of the SFRP; provide training and technical support to Commanders and Family Readiness Liaisons to support their Unit Family Readiness program and Soldier & Family Readiness Groups (SFRGs); submit information to support development and budget forecasting to support the Soldier and Family Readiness Support Program to higher headquarters.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level (GS-07) in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-07) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge of managing, coordinating and planning family, quality-of-life or human services programs. Experience providing advice and assistance on community resources and social service agencies/programs. Experience analyzing, evaluating and making recommendations for improvement of family, quality-of-life or human services programs. Experience developing newsletters, literature and training materials to support a program.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: To qualify for GS-0301 Title 5 Excepted Service positions, on the basis of completed graduate education listed below: Master's or equivalent graduate degree -OR- 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeAbout the company
