      Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Military Trainer – Information and Knowledge Management (IM/KM) Analyst to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Suffolk, Virginia. The IM/KM Analyst will support Joint Staff J7, Joint Force Development as SharePoint site and content administrator in creating, implementing, and managing a Knowledge Management program. The IM/KM Analyst must understand organizational KM vision and develop and communicate technology solutions that best enable subordinate teams' operating procedures and practices. The IM/KM Analyst must be able to apply the core principles of knowledge management to military training planning tasks, possess strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy providing support to a high visibility, fast-paced military training organization. The IM/KM Analyst will provide onsite IM/KM non-technical support and services to the government and military customers at the Joint Staff Suffolk, Virginia campus.

      Responsibilities:

      • Maintains multiple classified and unclassified SharePoint Site Collections on DOD365 SPO, Intelink, the Joint Staff Portal and Shared Drives (SIPR/NIPR). Supports KM improvements and capabilities in maintaining a uniform design and structure to Site pages and Team Libraries
      • Develops and uses SharePoint based pages, libraries, lists, and calendars to provide a more dynamic, maintainable and sustainable coordinated operation picture (COP) for Operations, Administration, and Training.
      • Enforces the information management foundation and structure of multiple Joint Training site collections on DOD365 SharePoint Online (SPO), Intelink, MS Outlook and other systems and applications as assigned.
      • Manages and maintains Library and folder locations on the Joint Staff Portal and Shared Drives.
      • Takes initiative to regularly evaluate processes and best practices to assess and recommend solutions for the Government customer.
      • Provides analysis, recommendations, and develops solutions utilizing SharePoint and Office products, many that can be maintained routinely by division personnel.
      • Optimizes 'out of the box' capabilities of both SharePoint and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowertPoint, Outlook)
      • Promotes Knowledge Infusion and provides desk side, non-technical assistance, familiarity training, implementation and use of information and knowledge management best practices.

      Basic Qualifications for Military Trainer – Information and Knowledge Management (IM/KM) Analyst:

      • Current US SECRET security clearance
      • Experience with U.S. Military Joint Training System preferred
      • BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business Management, or relevant field of study (4-8 years of relative job experience may be considered for partial substitution of academic requirements)
      • Minimum 2 years' experience with Microsoft SharePoint environments
      • SharePoint Administrator and SharePoint Instructor experience preferred
      • Proven proficiency with SharePoint workflows, lists, forms, document libraries, and search
      • Understanding of Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripts for automating tasks and configuration of SharePoint environment
      • Able to work with little supervision in fast-paced dynamic environments and able to supervise work of assistants
      • Able to prepare and conduct seminars/work groups, conduct training in large and small groups
      • Ability to work with Senior Government, Military, and Contractor personnel
      • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
      • Must be able to work on site in Suffolk, Virginia

      Salary Range: $59,600.00 - $89,400.00

      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
