      Job Description

      The Millwright is responsible to provide engineering technical service to a specific Plant Supervisor and Team Leader within one of the sections of the BA Process.

      Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

      Supports the achievement of production performance level:

      • Prepare and plan work priority list and resource requirements in order to complete tasks
      • Ensure that all resources requirements are communicated to Plant Supervisor in order to complete allocated work orders.
      • Co-ordinate maintenance activities with the Team Leader, to ensure that the operation is not affected or alternative plans need to be prepared
      • Show the appropriate Team Leader how certain low-level maintenance and preventative steps can be undertaken by the operational team within process
      • Communicate any stumbling blocks to the appropriate Plant Supervisor so that plans can be made
      • Ensure the safe and proper running of all machinery and equipment are conducted
      • Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibility

      Maintains the equipment to standard:

      • Ensure that all planned maintenance schedules are accurately complied with
      • Ensure that all work conducted is performed to the required standards and specifications
      • Ensure that all safety and legal requirements are carefully followed
      • Identify opportunities to improve operations
      • Participation in improvement projects
      • Support efforts to overcome operational problems
      • Identify risks and threats to the process proactively
      • Supervise allocated multi-task team member in order to complete assigned work tasks or orders
      • Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is always worn
      • Complete and sign off all allocated orders

      Administration of necessary systems:

      • Assist the BA Officer in completing safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports for area
      • Compile an accurate shift/work order reports
      • Ensure that technical data is accurate
      • Complete requisitions for stock items required
      • Prepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customers
      • Complete the necessary job cards relating to the task done including and description of work and spares used
      • Participate in required meetings including safety

      Qualifications

      • Technical Trade Specific N2
      • Certified Competent as Millwright

      Knowledge and Skills

      • Valid driving license code 08

      Additional requirements will include:

      • Must be able to do standby, overtime and, if required, shift work.
      • Will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
