      MINE PARAMEDIC INCENTIVES Hiring range from $105,000-$110,000 5 days on/9 days off schedule Company paid crew housing ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following list represents the primary responsibilities of a Mine Paramedic. The relative importance of these responsibilities may vary from region to region and should be discussed by each Paramedic with his/her supervisor. Medical Duties: Evaluates, treats, and stabilizes routine and urgent patients within the scope of practice and standing orders established by the sponsoring physician (Paramedic), with expanded scope responsibilities Consult with Medical Director as needed Administer over the counter medications Ordering/restocking of medical supplies Medical health screenings Administering flu shots and maintain proper documentation Restocking of First Aid Bags Restock Stoke Baskets Restock First-Aid Kits Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene management as Monitor and maintain the general condition of the work area, keep it clean and stocked to maintain the image of Guardian Flight and Must stay current with advanced training, instructor credentials, and continuing Must successfully complete and remain current with MSHA required courses, participate in mine rescue drills; and must maintain all mine safety policies and complete all safety training. Ability to function independently and be a self-starter in isolated locations that have poor communication and no support Ability to climb a 75-foot vertical ladder with 50 of gear MUST be able to work underground in a hot and humid All other duties QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be at least 18 years of Possess a valid Driver's Current State of Nevada Paramedic Driving record in compliance with GMR policy regarding Minimum 5 years' experience as a Paramedic, with the ability to function beyond the typical "street environment," where treatment may be the priority not Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently and as a team member, employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas, read, interpret, and follow instructions.
