      The Opportunity: At Canadian Natural, we are currently looking for a Mine Survey Technologist to join our team at our Albian mine. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to perform a variety surveying tasks in our earth-filled, tailings, dyke and dump and structures. Key Accountabilities: - Survey all the in-pit/ex-pit structures in Albian Mines by using global positioning systems (GPS) and 3D laser scanner to accurately and efficiently collecting and recording all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities - Prepare and compile all data, plans, charts, records and documents related to performance monitoring of large earth filled structures and support month end reconciliation work - Support with drone flying, and PV3 support - Design, modify and standardize technically accurate drawings, plans and cross sections for multi-site application Other Details: - Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta – Albian Oil Sands site - Shift schedule: 7x7, Thursday rotation start, 12hr/days - Company sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary and Edmonton - Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s relocation policy - Competitive salary, stock options, stock savings plan and benefits - This is a safety sensitive position Skills & Qualifications: - A Geomatics degree or a technical diploma in Civil, Mining, Geological, or Survey technologist from a recognized technical school - Registered in ASET (or immediately able to receive accreditation) as a C.E.T. or T.T. designation - Preference given to experience in the geomatics industry, preferably in oil sands or mining - Alberta Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent - Experience using AutoCAD, Vulcan, Trimble Business Center or TGO, with working knowledge of Maptek software or similar topographical software preferred Why Canadian Natural?
