      Lockheed Martin is looking for a Mk7 Chief Systems Engineer to join the FBM Program. Responsibilities for this position include:

      • Technical management of the Mk7 development program systems engineering work scope and team

      • Planning (Cost/Schedule) with oversight/responsibilities for systems engineering integration and test (SEIT) budget

      • Mk7 system Risk management (R&O Management Board Chair)

      • Resource deployment/alignment for multiple disciplines including Systems Engineering, Specialty, Survivability and EEE Parts

      • Provide overall leadership to subordinate leaders across 5 independent product teams (IPTs) (System Architecture, Requirements and Verification, Missile Integration, SWF Integration and Support Equipment Systems Engineering & Integration, System Level Test, Cyber Security)

      • Support System Level Test planning and execution

      • Support Flight Test planning

      • Post-flight data review

      • Flight Sciences Integration

      • Coordination of Independent Review Boards / teams

      • Oversee Requirements & Verification Development

      • Mk7 Interface definition and coordination

      • Support development activities associated with Mk7 and D5LE2

      • Support digital transformation through the utilization of Digital SRR, PDR and CDR identification, trial and insertion of new advanced capabilities and tools

      The Sr. Manager will report directly to the Director of Systems Engineering. The position is located in Denver Colorado. The organization is distributed between Denver, Colorado; Valley Forge, Pennsylvania; and Space Coast Florida.

      • Minimum of 10 years total experience, including 2 years demonstrated engineering leadership experience, 5 years of experience in the application of System Engineering processes and disciplines, and demonstrated experience in leading a Systems Engineering organization

      • Demonstrated ability to plan, propose, and manage organizational budgets and schedules

      • Experience generating Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support

      • The candidate must have a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a top secret clearance • Demonstrated knowledge of the FBM program and Trident II (D5) Missile System and Reentry Subsystem

      • Familiarity with the Navy SSP Missile and Reentry customer

      • Demonstrated experience with / knowledge of Reentry System Avionics, Mechanical Design and Hypersonic related analyses
      • Electronics design and packaging experience
      • Software design experience
      • Mechanical design experience
      • RF design experience
      • Demonstrated experience leading a large problem investigation and root cause analysis effort
      • Ability to plan strategically and translate these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical actions and tasks
      • Demonstrated ability to motivate and energize a diverse and geographically distributed team
      • It is desired the candidate be CAM certified.
      • Ability to effectively communicate, both internally with peers and Program leadership as well as externally with customer counterparts
      • Able to motivate a team while embracing diversity and inspiring cultural change
      • Proven track record of effective customer coordination and collaboration
      • Demonstrate the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
      • Able to multitask effectively and support ongoing technical investigations and initiatives simultaneously
