- Perform Failure Analysis on Customer returns
- Collaborate with cross-functional resources and support groups to identify root cause and corrective action
- Identify potential risks to external customers
- Manage Communication of FA Results to Internal and External Teams providing formal FA reports
- Analyze data from various sources for trends and variations
- Drive overall process and product quality improvement
- Understand new processes/technologies, new failure modes as well as new HW/FW technologies for product quality and reliability issues involving eMMC and UFS products
- Maintain operational knowledge on FA diagnostic tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of semiconductor devices
- Knowledge of electronic circuits
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis
- Good multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural international team environment
- Availability to travel abroad
- Flexibility to handle short-notice needs/requests
- High level both verbal and written English skills
- Programming experience in C, PERL, PYTHON and JMP
- Be customer-oriented
- Experience with lab tools: Logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG/ICE debuggers and protocol analyzers
- Knowledge of NAND Memory operation, architecture and reliability
- Knowledge of Firmware, Micro-Controller and file system concepts
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer/Electronic Engineering, Physics or equivalent is required

JR41261 mNAND Customer Quality Failure Analysis EngineerAs a Global Quality (GQ) Non-Volatile Memory QRA Failure Analysis Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for performing failure analysis of customer returned products.
You will identify the failure mode and summarize your analysis at the electrical and physical level working with various engineering groups to identify and verify root causes and corrective actions. You will provide status updates and written FA reports to internal stakeholders. You will be required to maintain technical knowledge of product capabilities and characteristics. You will serve as a technical resource for customer facing engineers and will provide training and consultation when necessary. You must also demonstrate the ability to handle multiple customers and deal with multiple issues at one time, while providing detailed and timely follow-up between all applicable internal organizations at Micron.
