Master's degree in American Indian Studies or other relevant academic discipline
2 or more years of experience in higher education
Extensive experience working with Tribal or culturally diverse settings
Comprehensive computer skills
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated experience with Tribal communities, Tribal education institutions and WINHEC accrediation standards
Experience in securing and managing external grants and other sources of funding
Experience managing department budgets
Supervisory/Leadership experience
Higher education teaching and supervisory experience
Promote scholarship and academic excellence through transfer and career education and provide access to higher education by offering developmental education.

$81,034.00 - $130,095.00Job Description - The Dean of Indigenous and Academic Affairs provides leadership, direction, and administrative support for the Indigenous programming at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College (FDLTCC) in the areas of accreditation; curriculum development; and planning, development, and evaluation of broader institutional endeavors related to mission. The position provides leadership for and supervises Anishinaabeg Gikendaasowinan programs, covering credit-and non-credit programming in all delivery modes and including oversight of continuing and customized training, as well as select transfer and career-focused programs. The position recommends and implements policy and procedures to enhance equity for Indigenous students and employees in the Minnesota State system and to promote the growth and development of Anishinaabeg Gikendaasowinan in collaboration with internal and external constituents and works with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, The position works to further develop FDLTCC's relationship with the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium (WINHEC) and service on boards or in activities of WINHEC is encouraged. This position also serves as part of the administrative team and works in the best interest of the college's unique status as a Tribal College and member of the Minnesota State system of colleges and universities.
