- Advanced degree and licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in NY.
- Relevant clinical experience in psychopharmacology and direct service provision.
- Proficient in psychopathology and differential diagnosis.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Able to work flexible hours and days - including weekends/evenings/holidays.
- Experience with diverse populations and social service systems.
- Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems.
- Mobile Crisis Team and/or CPEP experience strongly preferred.
- Position requires a valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Travel throughout the Bronx County is essential.

Description
PRINCIPAL MISSION:
The MCT Nurse Practitioner conducts psychiatric evaluations and assessments and assists with the clinical supervision of the SBH Health System Department of Psychiatry’s Mobile Crisis Team (MCT). This role requires clinical expertise and ensures quality care for diverse populations throughout the Bronx County.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Promotes a safe, cooperative and professional health care environment to ensure optimum patient care (as per HR Policy 113c).
2. Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to, absenteeism, ETIME, cellular telephone usage, dress code and rules of conduct.
3. Makes Customer Service a priority, treating customers (patients, visitors, and co-workers) in a professional manner, exercising courtesy and tact. Effectively communicates with patients and others about SBH services in their area(s) of expertise or responsibility and ensures that concerns, questions or issues reach the right person(s) in SBH in a timely fashion.
4. Demonstrates the standards of performance and behaviors consistent with the DRIVE to Patient-Centered Excellence.
5. Conducts psychiatric evaluations and assessments and assists with clinical supervision of the ongoing Mobile Crisis Team (MCT).
6. Evaluates patients' mental health status, considering psychiatric history, family dynamics, and personal health.
7. Diagnoses psychiatric disorders using evidence-based practices.
8. Monitors and follows up on referrals.
9. Develops individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy recommendations.
10. Prescribes and manages psychiatric medications as needed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
11. Collaborates with the other MCT staff/disciplines on treatment planning.
12. Maintains timely and accurate progress notes and records.
13. Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
14. Other related duties as assigned.
