      This is skilled work mainly operating and maintaining motor vehicles and rolling equipment to accomplish transportation, maintenance, or construction tasks.

      OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
      Requires one full year of experience in mobile equipment operations.
      Possess a valid Class D Chauffeurs Driver’s License for state of residence, or obtain within 90 calendar days of hiring date, and maintain validity.
      Knowledge of general motor vehicle and rolling equipment operation and maintenance techniques, methods and procedures.
      Skill in performing general motor vehicle and rolling equipment operation and maintenance functions.
      Ability to complete general motor vehicle and rolling equipment operation and maintenance duties and responsibilities.
      Ability to read and interpret a greater New Orleans metropolitan road map.
      Ability to use hand tools and power tools and equipment properly.
      Ability to carry, erect, climb, and maneuver on ladders and/or scaffolds; work in tight and awkward spaces; work off of roofs, cat walks, and other elevated areas.
      Ability to carry or otherwise move loads of 50 pounds or more (pipe, wire, tool boxes, etc.).
      Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and within extreme temperature ranges.
      Visual ability, corrected, to observe people and/or vehicles moving through the work area in order to redirect work or equipment to avoid injuries to the people or damage to the vehicles.
      Ability to communicate information effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
      Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
