- Provide shared guarding services to project a security presence, which will include operating a vehicle to perform patrol, inspection, and/or incident response services, alarm calls, service calls, maintains communication contact with appropriate personnel to report status or incidents, or to request additional assistance or response.
- Check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and access devices.
- Respond to alarms and rapid response needs.
- Perform inspections of facilities as requested, per contract agreement, by clients.
- Provide parking lot patrols as required.
- Perform escorts as assigned and requested by clients.
- Notify appropriate personnel of emergencies and problems at accounts as required.
- Assist post Security Officers with problems and emergencies.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients and staff members.
- Interact with clients and employees during inspections.
- Assist client’s staff members, as necessary.
- Process report inspections and incident reports in a timely and organized manner.
- Ensure effective and consistent delivery of patrol services, per agreement, and intended mission goals.
- Initiate and maintain open lines of communication with patrol personnel.
- Comply with federal regulations and state regulations and statutes as it relates to each assignment.
- Comply with all GSSC’s personnel policies and procedures as well as all specifications as determined by the client’s contract.
- Assist with adult juvenile transport services.
- Maintain equipment inventories and serviceability.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must have High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be a US Citizen or an Alien lawfully authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass State & Federal background checks and drug screen
- Must have a valid driver’s license, pass Motor Vehicle Record Check, and maintain appropriate driving record.
- Must successfully complete GSSC Basic Training.
- One year of Security experience (Preference for Military Veteran, Law Enforcement, Corrections or Security related)
- Ability to meet and maintain applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), administrative, customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking.
- Ability to project a professional and positive attitude while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Officer including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook Teams and PowerPoint.
- Military Veteran, Law Enforcement, Corrections or Security related experience preferred.
- Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly.
- Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to push, pull or drag and adult to safety from hazardous situations.
- Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for extended periods of time, while frequently safely entering and exiting the motor vehicle.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

Summary:
Reporting to the Patrol Supervisor, the Patrol Officer is a vital team member providing security services to various clients of GSSC. The Patrol Officer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks per the need of the client, including providing interior and exterior inspections of assigned facilities and/or adjacent parking or storage lots and patrolling in a marked GSSC patrol squad in attempt to deter theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, suspicious activities, and other potential criminal activities.
